Notion: Dance Fiction by Choy Ka Fai

Technology meets dance in this lecture performance by artist Choy Ka Fai. Inspired by the evolution of dance history in the last century, Ka Fai conducts a "muscle memory" experiment with dancer Joavien Ng in this boundary-pushing work. In Notion: Dance Fiction, sensors are attached to the body to transmit muscle vibrations into digital notations. These digital "muscle memory" implants attempt to condition the body in recreating a selection of iconic dance choreography.
After the lecture performance, audience members are invited to participate in an experiment for the Bionic Movement Research, if they so desire. Using similar techniques to electrical nerve stimulation, the experiment seeks to choreograph artificial muscle contraction and movement in a body. Don't miss this rare chance to experience for yourself a futuristic vision of "learning" dance gestures through digitised muscle memory.

"Goldfish is meant for dying" by Rudi Skotheim Jensen

Picture a goldfish, and then consider the value of its life. This life is not on any animal rights priority list, it is not good for eating and its body can not be used for clothes, and perhaps therefore, it is considered to be of very little value. Goldfish are, however, fashionable creatures and decorative pets that demand minimum attention, and in case of death, are easily replaceable. In addition, they are many children’s first encounter with the responsibility of a life - and death. (second being hamster)
The performance is set up as a rather whimsical lecture, hosted by an academic character. Through him, the audience is introduced to the historical, mythological and aquatic mysteries of the goldfish. As the performance develops, the lecturer keeps sidetracking, accompanied by aquatic stage-effects. From being a purely verbal lecture, it evolves into a physical play. It becomes a fictional disorientation, where even the host himself appears as a human-size goldfish, enthusiastically and rather pitifully doing everything in his power to reflect on the goldfish and our human society.
